To be honest I love Bank Holidays even if there are no celebrations to be had; it’s great to have an extra day off and therefore a long weekend. Sometimes I use the Bank Holiday to just do absolutely nothing for a change; if I’m feeling flush (which isn’t very often) I might treat myself to a bit of shopping; other times I take the opportunity to do something a bit different, like a day out somewhere with friends, as per the last Bank Holiday. So (swiftly moving on, before we slip into a banal debate about the weather… yawn!), all this concentration on my Bank Holiday got me thinking about what other people think about them.
